Commtech, a leading distributor of internet, networking and security solutions, has added volume to its growing Voice portfolio. Avaya has awarded Commtech sole distribution rights throughout Ireland for both IP Office and Quick Edition. Avaya, a global provider of business communications software, systems and services, will channel its converged specialist solutions through Commtech's reseller channel across the country.
Avaya's Quick Edition offering caters for companies with up to 20 users while IP Office is scalable from two to 360 extensions.

Commtech MD Justin Owens welcomed the deal. "We have already assigned dedicated resources to look after this new product in our portfolio, and will be focusing vast marketing and sales efforts to build the market for our Avaya products in Ireland.
He added that Commtech would work closely with its voice and data reseller partners, and predicted the market for converged phone systems would show significant growth in the year ahead, with increasing numbers of small businesses turning to convergence as a cost-cutting solution.
